 Mr. Md  Abdul Based is an emerging materials scientist and textile engineer from Bangladesh, specializing in polymers, composites, and fiber-based materials. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Materials Science at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, while holding a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), Rangpur Textile Engineering College, with a CGPA of 3.40. His academic foundation includes in-depth coursework on natural and synthetic fibers, polymer science, engineering materials, technical textiles, and automation systems. Professionally, he has gained valuable experience as an Assistant Merchandiser (Technical & Sales) at Wymsun Textile Co., Ltd., where he managed material sourcing, procurement, and fabric testing, and as a Production and Quality Intern at Ha-Meem Group, focusing on yarn production and denim washing techniques. His research includes the study “Extraction of Banana Fiber and Characterization Analysis of a Hybrid (Banana, Jute, Carbon, and Glass) Reinforced Composite Material,” published in Results in Materials. Skilled in SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC, and universal testing, he is familiar with ASTM, AATCC, and ISO standards. Abdul Based’s interests span composites, nanomaterials, functional coatings, biomaterials, and sustainable materials development.
