Destayehu Addisu is a seasoned mechanical engineer with over 11 years of professional experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arba Minch University (AMU), an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Design) from Bahir Dar University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Design) at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia.

Destayehu has served as a lecturer at Assosa University, where he also held the position of Department Head in the College of Engineering.
