Prof. Dr. Laura Bulgariu | Nanoparticles | Research Excellence Award

Professor | Gheorghe Asachi technical University of Iasi | Romania

Laura Bulgariu’s research focuses on environmental remediation, sustainable materials, and water treatment technologies. Her work emphasizes the use of natural biomaterials, agricultural waste, algae biomass, biochars, and nanostructured adsorbents for the removal of heavy metals, antibiotics, and phosphate contaminants from wastewater and polluted ecosystems. She integrates adsorption modeling, kinetic and thermodynamic analysis, and mechanism-based studies to evaluate efficiency and environmental applicability. A significant part of her research addresses circular economy principles, transforming waste into value-added materials.
